ABOUT RYAN
Toronto-native Ryan Johnston is an active musician in the GTA who is recognized by bandleaders both for his intuitive musicality and keen proficiency as a drummer. With a background in percussion, guitar and conservatory piano, Ryan is regarded for his ability to function as both a multi-instrumentalist and arranger in the ensemble setting. As a result, he has amassed a number of recording credits and enjoys performing in a wide variety of musical styles at most of Toronto and the surrounding region’s liveliest venues. Ryan has held the Artist in Residence position at St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, ON since 2020.
